New Album, “Radiant God”, Coming Soon!

Hello Friends,

I’ve been working on a new album. The music is finished but I’m still waiting on the design to be finished. I don’t know why it’s taking so long, but I’d appreciate your prayers to get it completed!! :) Thanks soooooo much!

The album is something that I’m really excited about. It has 13 songs and it is full of worship, love songs to God, songs of revival, healing, as well as a pro-life song written to the unborn calling them into their destinies.

Please stay tuned and help me spread the word.

Many blessings on you!!!

In His Love,
hannah

ps- Please pray that I get a new website working, too. Thanks!!

I moved to San Diego…

Hello World,
Two months ago I moved to San Diego. I finally got a bed in my room two nights ago. Yay! :) No more couch. In the past two months I’ve seen God do so much. I’ve traveled recently to Minnesota, Connecticut, Modesto, and have played a lot in San Diego, too. I’m a new worship leader at La Jolla Christian Fellowship. It’s so beautiful here. God has been bringing people to salvation, healing them, and has given me even more peace and love in my heart for Him.

I’m praying about recording a new album in January. I’d love your prayers for God to confirm this, help me pick out which songs to record (I have tons), and to provide for it.

Many blessings on you!! :)
Love,
hannah

Revival in Disneyland

The other day my nice friend, Danny, got me into go to Disneyland for free. I also had 2 Jason friends from school with me. Revival broke out. So many young people got physically healed and then we were able to lead them to Christ. They kept calling their friends to come out of lines for rides and to come get healed and meet Jesus. This went on for hours and I’ve never been a part of anything so crazy cool! Jesus ROCKS! :) I’ll try to get some video I shot together.

Just blogging…

Hello Friends,
I don’t have any idea of who will actually be reading this but I decided that I’d let some of my thoughts spill out in my blog. I don’t do that too often. I get emails from people in various places in the world. The amazing thing to me is that while we can be so far apart, we’re really not far at all. It is a huge honor for me to be connected to people around the world. So…if you don’t mind me rambling a bit, I’ll just do that. :) Without going into specifics about why, I have really experienced God as my shield lately. He really guards me and protects me in Him and it makes me fall in love with Him all the more. He is my prince, my comforter, my deliverer, savior, and best friend. No one can make me burst out in laughter even in the midst of extremely hard times. But He does! He puts everything into perspective for me and His joy is my strength and salvation. I have to tell you… pleeeease get to know God more than you do. Spend your life falling in love with Him. If you’re a guy, you might not dream of dancing with Jesus and being held in His arms the same way I do, but I know that He is so glorious that He will capture your heart like never before if you allow him to. Maybe in a more rugged way. :)

Anyhow, check out this cool verse:
Psalm 144:5,7 “Bow down Your heavens O Lord, and come down…stretch out Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of great waters…”

God has been stilling the stormy waters around me, increasing my faith, shielding me, and allowing me to rest in Him. He is opening the heavens and visiting His children in life changing ways. I pray that you will rest in the mighty hands of God as He delivers you. And more than anything, I pray that your love and devotion to Him would increase through it all.

Bless you all! :) :)

“Temples of the Holy Spirit”

I Corinthians 6:19
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.”

A few months ago I had the privilege of ministering in Israel and Palestine. I was very touched by God while there. Seeing where Jesus walked and ministered was amazing. But being able to do that with Him while there was even more incredible. On one particular day, after visiting the temple area, God began to speak to me about true worship and what it looks like.

When Jesus walked into the temple area in Jerusalem and saw people buying and selling, he began to overturn their tables and he said to them, ” My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of thieves.” Jesus knew God wanted the temple kept pure and holy- a place of worship and prayer.

Now, after the victory of Jesus on the cross, He says that as individuals, we are temples of the Holy Spirit. He wants His temples full of purity and worship. When we allow God to overturn things in us to make them upright, this is like an offering of worship that rises up as incense before Him. If we allow sin and corruption into our lives, we are trashing His temple. We need to allow Him to overturn those things in our lives. We need to ask Him to purify us and we need to daily turn from our sin and worship Him with our lives. If our temple is pure and full of the Holy Spirit, then our worship will be pure. However, if our worship isn’t pure, then God will cast it away. We can’t fool Him by singing songs and giving lip service. Our words mean nothing to Him unless they’re carried by the pure worship of our lives, souls, hearts, and spirits. He wants the incense of the sacrifice of our lives. (Romans 12:1).

Living as a pure temple of the Holy Spirit is the most exciting and rewarding way to live. Sacrifice isn’t always easy, but the Creator of all that is good, the Author of love and power is an AWESOME God and He lives inside of you in power. Allow Him to do His work in you, overturning all in you that shouldn’t be, filling you with more of His Holy Spirit, and using you for incredible purposes!

“Undignified Worship”

2 Samuel 6:22
“I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes…”

In the above passage of scripture David is speaking to his wife, Michal. David had just brought the Ark of the Covenant back into Jerusalem and he made a celebration out of it before God. He had musicians playing and he himself danced and leaped before God in worship. He also took off his outer garment, though he was still clothed. As his wife Michal watched all of this, she “despised him in her heart” and she let him know how vile he had behaved. David’s reaction was that he would be even more undignified than what she had seen. He would let nothing stand in the way of him worshiping God with an extravagant heart.

The word “undignified” in the original Hebrew is “qalal.” It means to be of little account, insignificant, lightly esteemed. David had no worries about impressing others. He knew who’s he was. He had a history with God and recognized that God was the source of all of His victories. At this point, David just wanted to rejoice and give glory and thanks where it was due. Not only that, but he wanted to rally everyone else to do the same.
In 1 Chronicles 16:8-9 David wrote that day, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts…”

The difference between David and Michal is profound. David’s life, despite some blunders, was a free flowing offering of worship to God. He was a man after God’s own heart. Michal wasn’t concerned with praising God–she was stagnant. Sadly, because of her attitude in this situation, the Bible says that she had no child to the day of her death. One can’t make a theology out of this circumstance, however there is a principle that shouldn’t be overlooked- simply put- Don’t be like Michal. Be like David. I’m not talking about the way in which one worships, but about the heart. Be an extravagant, God-focused worshipper. Be one who’s goal is to love and glorify God and to stir that heart up in others. If people can go nuts over a touchdown, then all the more, we should celebrate what God has done for us!

“The Preparation Process”

Jeremiah 29:11 - ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’

In my life I’ve found that God isn’t as concerned with getting me from Point A to Point B, as He is with His investment into me through the PROCESS. The processes that we go through are the times that build the most character in us. The process isn’t just a means to get to Point B. It holds in itself value so great that God’s purposes in our lives will not come to pass without it. Look at these biblical examples of heroes whom God took through processes that prepared them for powerful purposes.

King David was full of worship for God, full of faith, and full of tenacity. These character qualities were formed in him when he was a young shepherd boy, worshiping God and fighting off wild animals to protect his flock. He continued to grow in faith, killing a giant with a sling and stone. For years after Samuel anointed him to be the next king of Israel, David had serious hard times. This, too, prepared him to walk into his role as king. When you read the Psalms, you see how God shaped His heart through it all. God wanted David to be a king who trusted in Him, loved Him, and who would lead God’s people righteously. Great leaders are made during the process.

Joseph endured years of hardship, false-accusation, and injustice, in which he only grew stronger in God and in character. God was shaping him to be a ruler in Egypt that would save his people in Israel from a deadly famine. Esther was entered into a beauty contest in which she went through a yearlong process of beauty treatments. God worked through this process, as well as other life-shaping events, to enable her to win the kings’ heart, and to save the Jews from a mass genocide that was to take place.

Only God sees the whole picture. You may feel stuck in certain areas of your life. Pray that God moves you forward, but milk the process you’re in for all you can while you’re in it. Perhaps you need more wisdom, patience, or love in your life. Allow the Lord to shape His character in you. You have the full attention and love of the Creator of the universe. He always has a plan and He is preparing you for more than you’ve dreamed!

“Beauty Rising”

“For I alone know the plans I have for you. Plans for good and not for evil. Plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

I recently returned from leading worship at a camp for over 100 youth, ages 12-18 in the Southern CA foster care system. It was a moving time for us all. God led me to share with them about the story of Joseph. It is a story that we all need to remember, for it resounds with the promise spoken of in Romans 8:28. “For we know that God works all things together for good for those who love him and are called according to His purposes.”

Joseph’s story began with a vision and a promise of greatness. He soon after was abandoned by his brothers and sold into slavery. Carried to Egypt, he worked hard and was promoted, then was lied about and thrown into prison. Though he probably wondered where God was in all of this, he never abandoned his faith. He honorably used his spiritual gifts to bless those around him, which eventually is what led him to be ruler of Egypt next to Pharaoh. He proceeded to save his family and countless others from a deadly famine.

What a crazy process Joseph went through to get to the fulfilled vision of his life! So often God’s children find themselves stuck in the trenches of the process, disbelieving the preluding promise and future hope. But God is looking for Josephs to rise up in the land and to stand firm, believing that even the hard times, the unjust experiences, the failures, and the hurts, will somehow be worked for good. What an amazing God we have! He creates beauty that rises out of what was meant for harm. No one else can redeem, heal and use our lives for greatness like He can.

I am convinced that it is what we do with the cards we are handed in life that determines who we really are. It is my prayer for you, and for the foster youth I ministered to, that you will trust in the awesome love of God to work miracles in your life and that you will never doubt in his goodness and power to do more than you can dream of. In the end we will surely see that God is always faithful!

“Who Will Answer My Call to Love?”

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12

Today during an intense prayer time that I had, God asked me this question: “Who will answer my call to love?” He kept asking it: “Who will answer my call to love?” His words came to me with so much passion and fire. He then reminded me of all of the people in the world who don’t yet even know Him.

I realized that His definition of love is so much more than what most of us think about. So I thought about how Jesus loved. He loved passionately, wholeheartedly. He had compassion and healed the sick and diseased. He raised the dead and cast out demons. He multiplied food to feed people. He defended people. He honored people beyond social norms. He looked into the depths of people and told them that He was their answer. He served people in humility. He set the captives free and radically changed lives. He took our sins upon Himself to a point beyond just death. Jesus did even so much more than this and He still does. So when He asks, “Who will answer my call to love?” I know that He is calling us to love as He loves. EVERYTHING that Jesus did was out of love.

How can we live lives of love as Jesus asks us to? Only through the power of the Holy Spirit alive in us. We cannot muster this kind of love up on our own. We must love His way because our way is not enough. Our love should be practical, yet deep. Natural, yet supernatural. Our love should leave people feeling as though they had just encountered God. We should be children of God who believe Him at His word. Jesus said that even greater works would we do in His name. Freely we have received, freely we must give.

God is looking for those who know their identity in Him, who know His power, His love, and their purpose for being here. He has done His part, and we must do ours. So together let’s answer this call–not just in words but with our lives. And most importantly, let’s fall in love with our Savior, for without love for Him, how can we love others as He calls us to?
