Not only is Hannah an award-winning singer and songwriter, but she is a captivating performer and a gifted and powerful worship leader and speaker. With more than 17 years of experience, nationally and internationally, she sings in coffee shops, churches, schools, prisons, clubs, main stage events, and even on the streets with the homeless, using the impact of the Creator in the arts.

Hannah is a native California girl. God has used her diverse upbringing to mold her into the person she is today. Hannah was born in San Diego and raised in a Mexican gang neighborhood in the Los Angeles area. She grew up ministering with Bob Sanders of Baja Christian Ministries in Mexico. The year before her senior year of high school she moved to Humboldt County, CA because her dad got a job up there. Hannah graduated from Humboldt State University. It was in this New Age influenced environment that Hannah began writing songs to friends of hers that needed to experience the love of their Creator. Greatly influenced by the music and ministry of Keith Green, Hannah began leading worship and ministering in homeless soup kitchens. She also performed her very first concert on the HSU campus quad with a full band. The thought of doing this concert frightened her, but she followed her heart and God’s lead. She actually was never comfortable with singing in front of people, but the Holy Spirit began to empower and free her to be herself. Her one request to God was that if He really wanted her to sing in front of people, that He would use her songs to touch lives in the same way He used Keith Green’s songs in her life.

After college she worked as a vocal coach in Europe for “King’s Kids”, a division of Youth with a Mission. She toured with youth and kids doing performing arts.  Soon after she moved to Pasadena, CA, and became a public school teacher in an inner-city school. She also sang background vocals for worship leader, Tommy Walker at Christian Assembly and recorded her first album, “Beautiful Love,”  during this time. Although she found teaching to be rewarding in itself, after some  years she began to feel that her path was changing into the direction of full time music.

Hannah was voted #1 out of 2,300 artists and awarded the “2003 FRESH New Artist of the Year Award” by listeners of KKLA and The Fish 95.9 FM in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. As a result she opened for Toby Mac at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA at the FishFest. THIS “win” confirmed in her heart that she was on the right path.

Hannah has enjoyed her new career move into music. Soon after she left her school teaching job, she partnered with Calvary Chapel Church Planting and toured to Russia twice using her music to introduce people to Jesus. The first time Hannah went to Russia, she gave 600 of her first album to the college students at the events. She returned 6 months later to find that the students had memorized her songs while trying to learn English and sang along with her at the concerts. The lyrics had touched their hearts and opened doors. Hannah has now visited 21 countries and has enjoyed giving countless albums away in select foreign countries. Besides Russia, Hannah has ministered in Morocco, the Philippines, Mexico, El Salvador, Europe, Israel, and Palestine, etc. She is so grateful to her partners who have helped make this possible.

Besides her international work, Hannah has also sung and shared live on ABC news, National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” show, JCTV, and hundreds of radio stations around the US and in the world. She’s met many wonderful people, made great friends of all kinds, and has worked with various ministries, experiencing the goodness and power of God. Hannah is a Bethel School of Ministry graduate and served on staff  with YUGO Mexico Ministries for ten years. She also served for four years as the worship leader of La Jolla Christian Fellowship in the San Diego area. She  is currently enjoying leading worship at various churches and events internationally. Besides music, she has been pursuing sharing all of her nature photography.

Hannah has received amazing feedback from her THIRD album, “RADIANCE.”  Her song “Radiant God” won an honorable mention in the International Songwriting Competition. Her FOURTH album, produced by Bethel Music producer, Gabriel Wilson, is set to be released soon. Some songs are still in the production and mixing phase and are being “enhanced”  by Mark Suhonen of Capitol Records. Her album will be released through her new label, Jewel Coast Music. Her single from the album, “Don’t Give Up” was released early on July 1, 2015! She was able to debut some of her new songs from her upcoming album while opening for the Newsboys in Fairbanks, Alaska!

Hannah is also a newlywed and is enjoying married life. God has been the center of her life and enabled her to save her purity and wait for her husband until she was married. She loves to share this powerful message to influence our culture to live in true freedom. Check out their story about how Gino’s and Hannah’s roads crossed below:
