Enjoying our days…

Last week I was sooo sick with major migraines and who knows what. ?? The good thing about days like those are that they remind me to pray for everyone I can think of who suffers…. I guess that’s everyone. But some people suffer a lot more. Another good thing that has come out of pain is that God gives me songs of hope that encourage people. I’m so thankful that I feel better now and that I could enjoy the day yesterday leading worship and enjoying His creation outdoors! The spring flowers remind me of the beauty that God can bring even through the storms and attacks that come against our lives. Stay tuned for “Together Beautiful”- a song about this that will be on my next album! :) God bless you all! Enjoy the blessings in life and don’t take them for granted! God is so good! Romans 8:28.

Creating Albums With My Creator
“Many years ago I felt like God told me that I was going to make an album. I had songs that I had written that God was using in people’s lives already, but I didn’t feel very capable or qualified to make an album. Still, it was something that I knew God called me to do.  I remember opening up to the passage in scripture where the angel, Gabriel, told Mary that she was going to give birth to the Son of God. She pondered Gabriel’s words within her heart, even though it was hard to believe. In the same way, I pondered God’s words within my heart, knowing that no matter how small I am, nothing is impossible with Him ….” To Read More Click HERE

What is “making it” really?

A couple of weeks ago I was being interviewed above at the Pan Pacific Film Fest in Los Angeles where I sang. The interviewer asked me about Christians being in entertainment and I have some thoughts, some of which I didn’t get a chance to share in the short interview. I feel we should shine for Him in all we do. I lived in LA for so many years and I had people telling me that I needed to dress more sexy and basically be like the world to a point of major compromise to “make it.” It seemed ridiculous to me and still does, why Christians I went to church with would think they were “making it” in when they were in films like “American Pie” which degrade values in young people and lead to hurting them not furthering them into truth and freedom. Like I said, we should SHINE like stars in the dark!:) So what if the world doesn’t like the light. We can expect that. They rejected Jesus. But we can also expect that many will be touched by the love of God and will be changed. Christians should be the BEST artists of every form because our GOD is the creator of art and of the whole cosmos, of music, of joy, and of everything good… and He lives inside of us! I have a long way to go on my music skills, etc. but I strive with all of my heart to be the best to make it in God’s kingdom as an obedient daughter, reflecting His light and beauty. I’d rather have that any day than all of the money, fame, and hopelessness that the world can offer when you “make it.”  God will always love taking care of our needs and wants, but He defines success so differently than most of us do. I’d rather think His way. In the words of Katy Perry, “I wish I knew then, what I know now. Wouldn’t dive in, wouldn’t bow down…” I pray God picks her up in His loving arms full of grace, speaks to her heart, and releases her with the talents He gave her to be a world changer … and one who has learned what “making it” really is.

Hannah Ford Photography- New Page!

Hi Friends, I wanted to share with you something that I’ve been working on — nature photography. Some of my photos match my song titles and music and all of the photos have a spiritual message. I have tons more photo more but here are ten of them to start. I’ll be selling them and taking donations for them to help me raise money for my next worship album! :) Click on the photo below to view more photos. Bless you!

Keep moving forward… :)

Keep pressing on in your adventure with God. You’ll go by calm streams, rest in peaceful pastures, climb crazy cliffs, wrestle enemies, pass through rough waters…. but God is with you and the victory is already yours. He already finished it on the cross, so keep pressing forward in His victory power. And when things don’t make sense and you feel confused about where He’s led you, His timing, etc…. don’t worry. Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28. Spread the truth and keep shining and don’t ever lose hope! :) We are sooo blessed to have such an amazing God who loves us sooo much! Keep loving Him with all you’ve got! :) Love, hannah

Hannah Ford Concert- Front Page of Kansas newspaper!

Gino and I had such a great time ministering in Kansas! It was a very busy time with concerts, a youth rally where we spoke, and special prayer visits, etc. We were so happy to stay with our friends from the Jamboree KS event! We stayed on their farm with sheep, pigs, and fields of soybean! :) God did amazing things while there and I pray that He keeps watering the spiritual seeds, as well as bring them literal rain for their planted seeds. No more drought! Click below to hear video and read the full article online. :)

Memorial Day…

Thanks to all of our military and their families for serving our country and world. We honor those who serve and those who have died for the sake of freedom. My two grandfathers and grandmother served in WWII and helped bring freedom to so many in the world from the evils of Hitler. I’m thankful that we had such a beautiful Memorial Day here in San Diego. Super sunny and a great day to play, surf, and boogie board with friends! But may we always remember while we play on that holiday off from work, that our freedom was bought for us at a high price. Thanks to all who serve(d) and thanks mostly to Jesus- who paid the ultimate price for our ultimate freedom that will last forever!

Tragedies and Hope

Last week a small plane crashed killing 4 young men, and leaving one survivor, Hannah Luce. One of the young men, Austin, saved her from the fires and died himself soon-after. The five of them were on their way to a Teen Mania meeting. I have worked alongside Teen Mania in Baja, Mexico several times. Hannah’s dad, Ron Luce, is the founder of the ministry. Recently my father almost died, but is now fine. Yay!  :) My uncle almost died last week, but is fine. Yay! I have other friends battling cancer.  I am struck by the brevity and uncertainty of life. Keith Green, my biggest musical influence, died in his early 30s, in a small plane crash. There is no explanation for some of these tragedies. We will wait for heaven for answers.. But while we are here on Earth, let’s make our lives count. Let our lives count so much, that even after we’re gone the legacy we left will still impact generations to come. Heaven will be wonderful and far beyond the greatest things we can imagine, but we are here for such a time as this, as Mordecai told Esther. Keep shining. Keep the faith!  (If you don’t know Jesus, please visit my Prayer Garden page to find out how you can be assured of life in heaven with God for eternity.)  “Only one life, twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”

My Side of the Disneyland Revival…coming soon.

Over two years ago, God did an amazing thing at Disneyland on a summer afternoon- miracles, salvations… incredible! I happened to catch it all on film with my little camera. Over the years, I’ve watched and experienced both the joys and the criticisms of the comments posted on YouTube. Some are excited responses, some are valid ones, some are misunderstandings, and some are, well… enough said for now. I want to respond and give more of my side behind the scenes and this is where I’ll do it. God wants to release His Spirit more and more and His Bride (His people), can sharpen one another “as iron sharpens iron.”   Stay tuned!

“Purity” article and materials coming soon…

I’m going to talk about purity on this page. I feel that it is MUCH needed in this culture that we live in.

As someone who waited until marriage for sex, I’m happy to share about how God helped me stay pure while being single for so many years! I’m also happy to tell you why I’m so glad that I did and about how no matter what your past is, God can make it all new! I may post some fun videos that I made, too. :)

Bless you!

“Beauty Rising”

November 25th, 2008
by hannah

“For I alone know the plans I have for you. Plans for good and not for evil. Plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
I recently returned from leading worship at a camp for over 100 youth, ages 12-18 in the Southern CA foster care system. It was a moving time for us all. God led me to share with them about the story of Joseph. It is a story that we all need to remember, for it resounds with the promise spoken of in Romans 8:28. “For we know that God works all things together for good for those who love him and are called according to His purposes.”
Joseph’s story began with a vision and a promise of greatness. He soon after was abandoned by his brothers and sold into slavery. Carried to Egypt, he worked hard and was promoted, then was lied about and thrown into prison. Though he probably wondered where God was in all of this, he never abandoned his faith. He honorably used his spiritual gifts to bless those around him, which eventually is what led him to be ruler of Egypt next to Pharaoh. He proceeded to save his family and countless others from a deadly famine.
What a crazy process Joseph went through to get to the fulfilled vision of his life! So often God’s children find themselves stuck in the trenches of the process, disbelieving the preluding promise and future hope. But God is looking for Josephs to rise up in the land and to stand firm, believing that even the hard times, the unjust experiences, the failures, and the hurts, will somehow be worked for good. What an amazing God we have! He creates beauty that rises out of what was meant for harm. No one else can redeem, heal and use our lives for greatness like He can.
I am convinced that it is what we do with the cards we are handed in life that determines who we really are. It is my prayer for you, and for the foster youth I ministered to, that you will trust in the awesome love of God to work miracles in your life and that you will never doubt in his goodness and power to do more than you can dream of. In the end we will surely see that God is always faithful!
